Blushed Strawberry Lemonade Ice

Sun high, ice clinking, and something gloriously frosty in hand—this is summer at its best.
Our Frozen Strawberry Lemonade is a bright, slushy blend of ripe strawberries and zesty lemon, blitzed into a glass of pure, icy bliss. Sweet, sharp, and irresistibly refreshing, it’s the kind of drink that instantly cools you down and lifts the whole mood. One sip in, and you’ll wonder how you ever did summer without it.

Ingredients

  • 180 ml fresh lemon juice (roughly 4 lemons, give or take)
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 drops yellow food colouring (optional, for that extra glow)
  • 2 1/2 cups ice divided
  • 225 g frozen strawberries (fresh works too—just add a little extra ice to keep that frosty texture)

Method

  1. Add the strawberries and ½ cup of ice to a blender and blitz until smooth and slushy. If it’s looking a little thick, loosen it with a splash of water and give it another quick pulse.
  2. Spoon or pour the strawberry layer evenly into your serving glasses—this is your vibrant base.
  3. Give the blender a quick rinse.
  4. Add the lemon juice, sugar, food colouring (if using), and the remaining ice. If you’re making the grown-up version, this is your moment to add a splash of something spirited.
  5. Blend again until smooth, icy, and beautifully pale and frothy.
  6. Pour the lemonade layer over the strawberry base for that perfect two-tone finish.
  7. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and a slice of lemon, then serve immediately.

Notes

Got a little leftover? Lucky you. Just pop it in the freezer and let it slowly soften in the fridge when you’re ready for round two—it comes right back to life, icy, bright, and just as refreshing as the first pour.
